Supported Employment Agency

Mission: To build an effective bridge between socially vulnerable groups andresponsible employers for successful integration and sustainable development of inclusive business.
Law on job quotas for persons with disabilities. Order of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 465 of November21, 2022, "On establishing job quotas for persons with disabilities. Employers with 50 or more employees are required to allocate quotas of 2-4% of their total workforce.

Problem:

Stereotypes and prejudice

  • Employers are guided by outdated ideas about the capabilities of socially vulnerable groups.
  • There is mistrust of their professional competence and fear that "too much adaptation" will be required.
  • A lack of experience interacting with different categories of workers leads to
unconscious discrimination and refusal to hire.

Most of the limitations are not physical, but socio-cultural. To overcome these barriers, a system of support for employers is needed:

  • Training and consulting - fostering a culture of inclusion.

    1
  • Staff recruitment and support- practical assistance in hiring.

    2
  • Social partnership - participation in social projects to build a positive image for companies.
